whee, wedding dress shopping!

A few things to keep in mind. Really, don't bring all your best friends. Bring your mom, or someone whose opinion you can trust, and who will be honest with you. Wedding dresses run small ("quite small", according to the lady who was helping me), so, depressingly enough, you'll be at least a size bigger, and likely 2 sizes bigger than your normal clothing size. Who thought that was a good idea?? They run up to size 30, but come on. That's just mean. Try everything on, to a point. If you're iffy, try, but if it's truly awful, leave it on the rack. Go with your gut. If you love a dress, hang on to it. If you try it on, and it's nice, and pretty, but it doesn't make you go wheeeeeeee!, then it's not the one for you. Hesitation is a sign that there's a better one out there for you. The one floor of the one store I was in had 400 dresses. Four Hundred. They have 3 floors.
I learned also that apparently I have a great body for trying on wedding dresses. They all fit perfectly; it was really weird. Nice, but weird. Also made it trickier to easily eliminate some of them. I felt bad no-ing some, because they laced up the back and took significant time to get on. Silly, but whatever. Anyway, I bought a dress. Well, my parents bought a dress, and it's beautiful, and very me. I'm not posting a picture, because the fiance isn't allowed to see it, and I don't trust him not to stumble across it. I won't have the actual dress for several months (probably 5) and don't have a picture of me in it, but can share the link with anyone who just can't bear to wait that long. It's on the Romantic Bridals website, if you'd like to go try to guess. They don't have a picture of the colour of mine though, mine is ivory with some pink in the beading. ooooh, pink! How apropos.

That is all.

Please, please send me the link. It's killing me.

There's a few I think you'd pink, but I'm not confident enough in my choices to venture a guess. :)
