and I feel totally justified in using the batman line, because the boy is slightly obsessed with all things superhero. I just realized that there are only 6 days until Christmas. In 6 days, we'll be done with presents and almost eating a giant turkey with all the trimmings. Mmm, stuffing and gravy....
I'm basically done, I just have one more thing to get for the man. We realized today that we had forgotten about Santa bringing the wee lass a present, and had wrapped and placed under the tree all the non-Santa gifts. We will now have to either unwrap and set out on Christmas eve a gift that's already under there, or "borrow" a Santa gift from somebody else. See, Santa apparently doesn't wrap gifts, he just sets them out under the tree. That's how it was for the man, and it seems like less work for me, so I'm for it. He also brings stockings, and for me he would put them on the end of our beds. This helped to keep us in bed an extra 10 minutes in the morning, so I think I'll try that too. We've explained to the boy that since the girl is so little, she really doesn't need much, and also wasn't able to ask for anything, so Santa will just pick a couple of things that he thinks she'll like, and bring those. He'll get more for this year. I feel a little guilty about it, but she is not going to have any idea, and the things that we got for the boy at this age, we still have, so we just couldn't think of anything that was a "big" gift for her that a) she doesn't already have or b) somebody else hadn't already gotten her.
Ok. I should go hang out with my children now, and make supper and such! The girl just woke up, and the boy spent about half an hour while I sewed gifts playing on the Fisher Price website. It's linked over yonder now, and has loads of cute online games for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. For free, most importantly. He knows how to use the mouse now, so that's opened up a world of non-mom-led entertainment options!
