holy boringness, Batman

You know what? I cannot think of anything *less* entertaining than watching Poker on tv. Really and truly. That's what my boyfriend and "roommate" are watching right now. We have literally...250 channels. We're getting them all as a preview, because I called to switch a couple of the 10 specialties we usually get, and they put me on hold twice, and both times I ended up back in the system, and had to re-explain myself again. The 3rd person was a very nice lady, who offered to give us all the specialties for a week since we haven't had them all for a long time, and the one we wanted to get only comes as part of a package. Very nice of her, and I hung up feeling happy rather than enraged, which is often the case when dealing with Rogers. So yeah, we have all kinds of channels, Outdoor Life, National Geographic, Biography, Discovery, SexTV, you name it. And we're watching Poker. Earlier this afternoon we watched boxing from the late 70s. Barf. This is one thing, and probably one of about 3 things, that I will enjoy about living alone come fall. No old boxing or card game-watching on my tv.

Because we put off seeing Bourne for so long, now there are 3 movies out that we both want to see, and the decision is proving tricky. If that's the hardest decision of my day though, I'd say I'm doing pretty well. I think maybe we'll actually end up seeing Bourne though, since it's been such a saga, and since it's been out the longest. I'm also excited for The Village and Harold and Kumar. I guess for that last one, they had the script and brought it to McD's, Wendy's, and a bunch of other, probably more well known places, but they all said they didn't want to be in the movie. Well whatever, folks, I think White Castle makes a funny title anyway. They have tiny burgers that look pretty tasty, but I don't think there are any restaurants here. In visiting the website, I see you can buy yourself a White Castle t-shirt. Nice.

Tomorrow we're heading to Halifax to see the Tall Ships. There are fireworks tomorrow night, whee! I've never been, so I'm not sure what to expect other than a bunch of, you guessed it, tall ships. Apparently it's pretty exciting though. I'll let you know, and of course, take lots of pictures.
