when you don't come over and hold the baby?
just kidding, I did have some visitors, and it was a good week overall. it's quite something though, the difference it makes to have someone else home, even though it's only for a few hours at night.
I went through all the digital baby photos and chose a bunch to print off; I figure the guy should have a proper album, not just pictures in folders on the computer. I'll have to get Mitch to show me how to do his fancy photo pages, then I'll do up an online album too. I also took black and white (well, colour printed in black and white) pictures of like, his feet, ear, tummy, etc, and am looking for a frame to do a sort of baby bits collage. I can't find a nice frame though, it needs to hold 8 pictures, and I'd rather they not just be in 2 rows, that's boring.
Ever hopeful, I rented 3 movies today. I'm too lazy for links, look them up yourselves. Birth, This Girl's Life, and After the Sunset. An ecclectic collection, I agree. They're all full week rentals, and the baby has been having longer stretches of being awake but not crying lately, so we should be able to watch them. Madagascar starts this weekend, I'm so frigging excited. Somebody has to come babysit so I can go...I don't think tiny babies and movie theatres mix very well. A friend of mine mentioned something about family movie days, which sounds very promising, and I think Madagascar is a fine movie to have for that sort of thing. Apparently it's afternoon or early evening movies, the sound is turned down and the lights aren't all the way off, and you don't have to feel bad if you have a screaming infant. Well, not as bad as you would at a normal movie, anyway.
ah, the boy awakes. later skaters.
