so I'm just feeling really good about things now. It's still entirely possible that I won't have a contract teaching job in the fall, but the new thing is that now I can stay here to find out. I do love Fredericton, but I do not like moving. My thinking was that we'd get to Fredericton, me having to go with Grant because I wouldn't be able to support myself on my supply wages (not, if, as the VP of my HS pointed out, I like things like...eating...). Again, I love Fredericton, and Grant, but I'm pretty sure we would have ended up back here in a year anyway, so I'd like to just leave out that middle step. It's also possible that Grant will be able to finish school in one term, which makes moving even less worthwhile. So now, with the chance of at least having this tutoring job in the fall to supplement my supply work, I can in fact afford to stay here. I won't be living the high life, mind you, but I'll be alright, and able to keep working my "connections" in Moncton. Things may still change, but they're looking good for now. This is the first hint of stability I've had for some time now, and it feels reallllly good.
