more gardeny goodness

seriously, I'm a stellar gardener. I want to put in a real garden, but I have to wait for more warm weather and the ground to be less muck and more dirt. And for my mom to come help me, cause I don't know how to make a garden, really.

That said..

nice eh?

The babe had his 1st birthday on Sunday, and it was a pretty good time. He had a nap in the middle of it. He had no interest in opening gifts, but got along pretty well with everybody there, which is nice. He didn't (yet) go through that phase where he doesn't like anybody but us. Yesterday the fiancé and I went to meet the pastor who's marrying us (civil ceremony, yes, a pastor, I don't know how it works, but it's going to work, so whatever!), and dropped the babe off in a hurry at my sister's house, snuck out before he could notice we were leaving, and I don't honestly think he even really cared we were gone. He ate cheerios and threw food on the floor, so everyone had a good time. ha.

Some birthday shots:

More, and the rest of his first year pictures are at http://www.(myname)and(thefiance's name.com(the babe's name).

Not much else happening, I'm trying to do a mural with a map of the world on his wall. I've got the map drawn, but it's mighty hard to paint with the baby running around, and doing on nap time doesn't work either, since it's in his room. He's perfectly content to hang out in bed for a bit before or after sleeping, but if he wakes up and I'm in there, he'll want to come out for sure. We're heading to the fiancé's parents' house for Easter weekend, and then to Hali for work (and a visit) for next week. Both places have highspeed, you lucky ducks, so I'll be able to keep in touch.
