wise beyond my teeth

I had my 2nd (and last) wisdom tooth out today. I ended up having a cavity too, in the neighbouring tooth, so it was really a fun evening for me. But that's what happens when you don't go to the dentist for 5 years. hehe. I tried to go before now, when I was in school and still had insurance, but I ended up having to get my appendix out on the day I was scheduled to have a cleaning. That's just bad luck. Now I'm just waiting for some feeling to return to the side of my head so I can eat something, I'm starvin marvin.

This week has been good, my new grade 10s are so *very* different from my last bunch. I could leave the room with this bunch and not be worried too much. We're starting researching/brainstorming for children's stories tomorrow, I think it's going to be fun for them.

Matrix was pretty good! MUCH better than the last one. There were also a fair number of funnies in this one, which was sort of nice. There were still some overdone fighting scenes, but the CGI wasn't nearly so apparent as in Reloaded. It was sort of left open at the end that they could possibly do another one, but everyone involved in the trilogy swears that this is it, there will be no more. We shall see. Jenn and I were aiming for the early show, but there were just entirely too many people, so we went to Reitman's and supper at A&W to pass the time until the show started. We came back at 9:20 for the 9:45 show, and the theatre was already packed. We got seats on the side about 6 rows back, sitting in front of 3 guys who were talking about "vids" and some Steve Madden game. One of them was cute, and not all the guys were geeky, it was interesting how many different sorts of people were there. Jenn saw guys dressed up in trench coats and stuff, I missed them but laughed anyway. I had to educate a guy in the popcorn line about the fact that it's cheaper to buy a large popcorn and pop ($8.48, with free chocolate bar) than it is to buy a medium popcorn and pop ($12.17, with twizzlers). Plus, there's the obvious benefit of free refills on the large, should you decide to entirely gorge yourself.

Ok, I need new cotton to chew on, and my face is still numb. boo.
