finally! It's warm and sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and it's supposed to get up to 32 degrees today. Nice. That's Celcius, obviously. I had planned to go to Magic Mountain yesterday with Tirex, but it rained. Of course. Now it is going to be nice for a whole week. It's good though, I'm a fan of summer. I think what might happen though is that we'll have a ridiculously warm fall now, since summer seems delayed. That's fantastic for teaching, let me tell you. Especially where my classroom is on the top floor, and has no windows. Sweet. Speaking of, I suppose I should really start to prepare in some way, especially for the history class, since I really don't know anything about what I'm supposed to teach. Ah well.
We still never made it to see my good friend Matt, but I have faith that we will. We're also very much looking forward to seeing Joaquin (I just had to look up how to spell that), which is how the whole, going to see Matt thing got started anyway. Also, I was watching a review of The Village, and the guy had the...ignorance, I suppose, to say that the cast had no big names headlining it, but looked very promising regardless. Pardonnez-moi? Joaquin Phoenix, Adrian Brody, Sigorney Weaver, William Hurt, Brendan Gleeson? Maybe they're only famous in Canada. Weird.
I've taken some really pretty pictures of lillies, which I present to you now.
Pink Lilly
Fuschia Lilly
Pink Lilly w/ purple
They're all from my garden, and they don't last long, so I've been taking pictures of all of them. My mom pointed out to me, very helpfully, that this is indeed why they are called "day lillies". See, that's why it's good to have moms that garden. Hehe. Anyway, enjoy. I sure am. I have one plant that hasn't bloomed yet, and I thought they were going to be all dark purple, so the suspense is quite intense. Or not. I'm hoping the middle one does bloom though, and that it's a different colour. I'm just happy they're growing. My vegetables are not. They're still green, and healthy looking, but there is no sign of growth and / or flowers and food sprouting off them. Ah well.
edit: the pictures are fairly big, so if you're on a slow connection I apologize, and also if you have your browser set to fit images to the window size, they'll be smaller for you than they really are.
