or, I'm a way better singer than that girl.
The Bryan Adams concert was fantastic, as expected. Colin James was also great, but I just don't know as many of his songs, so it wasn't as good in the 'singing along' department. Bryan opened with the aforementioned 'There Will Never be Another Tonight', which was a good choice, although we all sort of thought it would be Summer of '69. Too predictable I guess. Anyway, he's just a great singer and performer, and as mom pointed out, one of the great things is that he actually sings the songs basically the way he does on the albums. Tiresa came down, and between the 2 of us, we got approximately 5 good photos, but it was fun trying. Bryan got a girl up on stage to sing 'When You're Gone' with him, and I was *super* bitter, because I know all the words and harmonies to that song, and it's really fun to sing, and he didn't pick me, even though I was waving my arms fanatically like everyone else. Ah well. The girl he picked was pretty funny, she couldn't sing at all, but she did remember most of the words, and she had a really good time on stage.
I'm heading to the cottage for the weekend, finally. It's my mom's birthday on Tuesday, so we'll have to have some cake. It's been super hot the past few days, but I'm not complaining too loud, because it was super crappy before that. My only complaint is that I was pefectly happy sitting around in my skirt and bra last night (too hot for even a tanktop, sadly), when my...summer roommate... came home with a friend to watch a movie. *sigh* I'm pretty laid back, but not quite that far.
I have been still having fun on the naughty blog, we have it set up so that the post-er is left anonymous, except to the fellow post-ers, who can see the author when they compose something themselves. I may just stick a link up here soon, but I want to wait until it gets going. So far, there are only...3 story posts. Come on folks, let's get on with it! I'm still waiting for people to get in touch with me, I've invited everyone who immediately came to mind as having an imagination and a sense of adventure, but please feel free to step up and join the fun!
