I'm doing marking, so I can't stay long, but I just wanted to pass along a happy moment from my day.

I had a student come in after school to work on his project, of his own free will I might add. He's working away, doing a really good job too, and just chatting with me about school and stuff. He came in with the attitude that he's no good at art, doesn't like it etc. He's not giving me attitude or anything, he just never really enjoyed art class. But we're chatting, and he says you know, I don't know why, but I really like art this year. I was like, awww...yay me!

That means I'm a good teacher, right? It made me feel good anyway. I just said well, I try to make it fun for you, to get you hooked so you come back and make masterpieces in a couple of years!
